Through their efforts on the road to the 2018 Thoroughbred Makeover in Kentucky, Jim and Mike raised over $55,000 to help LongRun’s retired racehorses. Jim, in an extremely generous gesture, pledged to match first $15,000, then $20,000 of your donations! We can’t express how grateful we are to Jim Phillips, his beautiful OTTB and to the many kind donors, listed below, who helped make the “I Like Mike” fundraiser such a huge success.

Thank you for joining Mike and his owner Jim Phillips as they make their way to the popular THOROUGHBRED MAKEOVER COMPETITION, part of the RETIRED RACEHORSE PROJECT (https://www.tbmakeover.org) at the Kentucky Horse Park, October 4 to 7, 2018.
Jim wants to boost awareness of the amazing things retired racehorses can do through this donation site.

Jim acquired Mike, a beautifully bred, talented 5-year-old gelding, in the fall of 2017 and the pair are a special duo. Mike has taken to his new career of eventing with gusto!
Jim and Mike will recognize donors on this site as well as provide photos and stories and updates as they train and prepare for the Amateur Eventing competitions at the Thoroughbred Makeover.
